About STEM STudy groups

Redefining Math and Science Help

I didn’t create this program to help students chase better grades. I created it to help them feel seen, supported, and capable in ways school often doesn’t allow.

I was one of the “good students.” Straight-A’s, praised for being organized and hardworking. I knew how to play the game, check the boxes, and get the grades. But even from the “successful” side of the classroom, I could feel how much was missing.

School often values the result over the process, the test over thinking, and the answer over the effort. And for so many teens, that makes learning feel like a race they’re always behind on, rather than something they can take ownership of.

That’s why I created STEM Study Groups: to providemath and science help that goes deeper. Support that focuses on strategy, crticial thinknig, and real understanding, not just getting through the next test.

This isn’t just about suriving math and science class. It’s about building transferable skills, long-term confidence, and a mindset that sets students up for success far beyond the classroom.

Founder of STEM Study Groups. Brenna provides math and science help through academic mentorship and tutoring.

How It All Started

From traditional tutoring to something different.

I started out like many educators offering one-on-one tutoring, helping students get through homework. But it didn’t sit right.

Most students weren’t failing because they weren’t smart. They were exhausted, discouraged, or simply didn’t know how to study. And more of the same worksheets and pressure wasn’t helping.

They didn’t need a better explanation of the material. They needed a better environment to learn in. So I built one.

STEM Study Groups is my answer to what I wish had existed sooner: a place where students can ask questions without fear, review concepts in a way that actually makes sense, and build the academic confidence and study skills they’ll carry for life.

What We Value Most

Meet Your Guide

Hi, I’m Brenna – The Founder of STEM Study Groups

I have a B.Sc. in Biology and years of experience working in classrooms, tutoring centres, and university study halls but what lights me up is creating learning spaces that feel different.

My goal isn’t to hand students all the answers. It’s to help them build the tools and mindset they need to become independent learners, confident in math, science, and whatever else comes next.

When I’m not running study groups, you can find me paddleboarding, reading fantasy novels, or spotting birds I still remember from my biology days. But mostly? I’m here to help your teen feel confident and capable with the kind of math and science help that build skills for life, not just school.

If this sounds like the kind of support you’ve been looking for – let’s talk.
